Ammirrors is a set of table lamps exploring how light behaves through acrylic glass and mirror. A slim illuminated column sits between reflective panels on a polished chrome base, so the light is diffused and multiplied — casting gentle, layered reflections into the surrounding environment.
The Problem
Point-source lamps light a spot; the challenge was to design an object that treats reflection and diffusion as the product itself, creating atmosphere rather than just illumination.
My Approach
I combined a central acrylic light rod with mirrored acrylic planes arranged around it, using the material to spread and echo the glow. A machined chrome base anchors the composition and adds a jewel-like quality, and the panels can be oriented to shape the light effect.
The Outcome
A family of lamps where the acrylic makes the light more diffuse and immersive in the environment, producing beautiful, shifting light effects.
