Aurora is a solar-powered telemedicine kiosk designed to bring healthcare to remote and off-grid communities. Powered entirely by the sun, it offers teleconsultation, automated diagnostics and on-site sanitation, engineered for easy installation, minimal maintenance and high uptime.

The Problem

Remote and rural areas face limited access to medical care, frequent power outages and unreliable electricity, plus the high cost and long wait times of travelling to distant clinics.

My Approach

I designed a rugged, weather-resistant totem with a large touch display, HD camera and integrated diagnostic instruments behind a protected sensor zone, topped by a tracking solar panel. An automated UV-C sanitation compartment keeps shared instruments safe between users.

The Outcome

A resilient, 100% solar unit that delivers dignified, always-on care where the grid cannot reach — deployable, self-sufficient and easy to maintain.
